MLK Day Protest at Newark Airport Ends with Multiple Arrests

More than 200 airport workers gathered at Newark Airport today to protest for a wage increase, that led to the arrest of a dozen workers.

The workers -comprised of cabin cleaners, security guards, janitors, among other workers - marched to Terminal C in hopes of bringing attention from the airport's current minimum of $10.10 an hour to $15 an hour.

A total of 12 were arrested by Port Authority police officers after the group sat down on the road to block traffic.

The protest was organized by Local 32BJ.
