Missing Surveillance Cameras from Newark Poles Under Investigation

Police in Newark are seeking information from the public regarding two missing surveillance cameras and equipment from 18th and Stuyvesant avenues.

According to authorities, police were alerted to the missing equipment on Wednesday, April 19.

A traffic signal pole was knocked down at the location and two cameras, an equipment enclosure box and a wireless antenna were missing from the poles when they were recovered.

The two missing cameras are the Panasonic PTZ Dome Camera, Model No. WV-SW598A and the Bosch PTZ Dome Camera, Model No. VG4 Auto Dome (MAC Address: 00-07-5F-75-25-36).

While police are actively investigating this incident, they seek the public’s assistance with any information regarding the whereabouts of the equipment or the person(s) involved in its removal.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
