Minor Injuries Reported Following Early Morning Crash in Downtown Newark

 A two-vehicle collision caused minor traffic delays in downtown Newark early Sunday morning, leaving one person with reported minor injuries.

According to preliminary medical reports, the crash occurred at the intersection of Raymond Boulevard and Jackson Street shortly before 2:30 a.m.

 

Responding firefighters from Engine 27 initially were dispatched for a possible roadway wash down. However, upon arrival, crews determined no cleanup was necessary. 

Authorities reported the incident involved two vehicles, with one female occupant sustaining what were described as minor injuries.
 

Newark Police from the 3rd Precinct and EMS personnel responded to the scene to assist with the investigation and evaluate the injured patient.

 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
