Police are on the search for a suspect wanted for robbing a bodega in the lower western section of Newark Saturday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were dispatched to 584 Orange Street -next to Coopers Deli- to investigate reports of a robbery in progress shortly before 10 p.m.
Upon arrival, police learned that a male suspect entered the establishment armed with a weapon and demanded cash.
Police have not immediately reported how much money or items were taken during the heist.
No physical injuries were reported and the suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.
He remains at large.
