Mild, Breezy Saturday Follows Unsettled Weather in Newark and North Jersey Region

Newark and North Jersey residents are waking up to a mild Saturday morning following a Friday marked by intermittent rain that led to some flooding and ponding on roadways.AdDespite the cloudy skies and uncertainty about the appearance of the sun, the day promises a cooler temperature shift and breezy conditions, though it won't be a complete washout.

The National Weather Service reports a 20 percent chance of showers with mostly cloudy skies throughout the day. Temperatures are expected to peak near 54 degrees.

NWS officials said a robust west wind will blow at 20 to 24 mph, with gusts potentially reaching as high as 37 mph, adding a brisk feel to the day.

As the evening approaches, the clouds are expected to gradually clear, leading to mostly clear skies with nighttime lows around 44 degrees.AdThe National Weather Service encourages everyone in the Newark and North Jersey area to have a great Saturday, making the most of the dry and breezy conditions after the recent spell of wet weather.
