We are waking up on this Friday to temperatures a bit cooler than yesterday, but we are still in for a pleasant close to the workweek across Newark and the North Jersey region.
Good morning, Jersey, and happy Friday! It is currently 52 degrees in downtown Newark with cool, cloudy conditions to start the day, but expect increasing sunshine as the morning and afternoon move along.
A light breeze is making it feel crisp but comfortable outside, and most of the region is expected to remain dry through the day.
If you are headed to the bus stop or out early this morning, a jacket will definitely come in handy.
According to the National Weather Service, today will be partly sunny with a high near 69 degrees and northwest winds between 11 and 13 mph.
Tonight will turn partly cloudy with overnight lows around 54 degrees. Winds will gradually calm during the evening hours.
