Middlesex County Man Sentenced for Bronx Drug Ring

A Middlesex County man was sentenced today to 97 months in prison and four years of supervised release for leading a drug trafficking organization that operated out of a drug mill located in the Bronx, New York.


According to authorities, Luis Cabrera, 38, of Perth Amboy, pleaded guilty in Newark federal court on August 24, 2022, to an information charging him with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine.

Authorities say Cabrera led the drug ring from 2019 to June 2020, selling heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine to customers in New Jersey and elsewhere.

On June 30, 2020, law enforcement raided the Bronx apartment and recovered 8,650 individual doses of heroin, plus fentanyl and methamphetamine.
