Mercer Prosecutor Investigates Fatal Shooting in Trenton

In the early hours of Saturday, January 13, 2024, the Mercer County Homicide Task Force, in collaboration with the Trenton Police Department, launched an investigation into a fatal shooting in Trenton.

The incident occurred just before 1 a.m. in the 1400 block of South Clinton Avenue.

Trenton police were called to the scene following reports of a man down in front of the location.

Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive adult male with a gunshot wound.

Tragically, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of now, no arrests have been made.

The investigation is active and ongoing, with law enforcement officials working diligently to gather evidence and ascertain the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is seeking assistance from the public.
