The Mercer County Homicide Task Force (MCHTF) stated that Inestroza is charged with a shooting homicide that occurred in Trenton in March of this year.

MCPO officials say that at approximately 9:30 p.m. on March 17, Trenton police responded to a call from the 300 block of Dayton Street reporting multiple bullet holes in the residence that came from the attached house.

Responding officers entered the Dayton Street home for a welfare check and located the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, according to Mercer County officials.

Mercer County authorities said the victim, identified as Esteban Vicente Sacalxot, 55, of Trenton, was pronounced dead at the scene. During the investigation, Alfonso Inestroza was identified as the suspect, and warrants for his arrest were issued.

The U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force is continuing the investigation to locate Inestroza, MCPO officials say. Inestroza is a Honduran citizen and is last known to be residing in Trenton.

Mercer County officials stated that he is 30 years old, 5’3”, 135 to 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
