Police are on the search for a thief who made off with a car that was reportedly left running in an Elizabeth driveway.
According to reports, police were called to Grier Avenue around 5 a.m. this morning after receiving reports of a stolen vehicle.
Upon their arrival, officers spoke with the owner who told police that his Mercedes Benz was stolen minutes after he went inside his home and left his vehicle parked in his driveway.
Police say the vehicle bearing license plate number “J26-DZT” was stolen sometime between 4:30 - 4:45 a.m.
Anyone with information on the theft or the whereabouts of the vehicle is asked to contact police.
