Atlantic County authorities announced the arrest of a resident for the murder of her husband.
According to Hamilton Township officials, on Sunday, December 25, Ms. Marylue Wigglesworth, 51, of Mays Landing, was charged and arrested for the murder of her husband, David Wigglesworth, 57, also of Mays Landing.
Hamilton Police said on December at approximately 10:19 p.m., officers responded to a residence on the 5200 block of Mays Landing Somers Point Road for an injured male.
Officers arrived to find the victim, later identified as Mr. David B. Wigglesworth suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
According to authorities, Mr. Wigglesworth was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of Marylue Wigglesworth for murder.
Mrs. Wigglesworth was taken into custody and lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
