Police in Newark are on the search for a dark colored minvan occupied by as many as three black males who committed several armed robberies at gunpoint around the night.
Authorities responded to several reports of armed robberies that occurred around the city including several in the city's North Ward where the suspects exited the van armed with weapons and wearing ski-mask when they ordered personal possessions from their victims before fleeing the scene.
There were no reported injuries in any of the robberies.
NOTE: A vehicle fitting the description of the suspect's vehicle was taken from Blum Street early Sunday morning leaving a woman with several school aged children without adequate transportation. The vehicle is a 2002 blue Dodge Grand Caravan with NJ temporary plate numbers J418279.
It is not immediately known if the armed robbery suspect's van is the vehicle taken from Blum Street.
