Maplewood Police Arrest Man Wanted for Firing Shot at his Former Moving Company Workplace

Maplewood Officers responded to the area of the General Movers, 228 Burnett Avenue on a report of an disgruntle employee of said business having discharged a firearm at his manager/Boss and left the scene.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male wearing a blue, General movers shirt and carrying a black bag left the location on foot.

Officers located and detained a person matching that description nearby on Florida Street, Maplewood.

This subject was identified as the person involved in the incident. It was discovered as part of the investigation that the suspect discarded the handgun as he fled.

Patrols recovered a .22 caliber revolver near where the suspect was stopped.

There are no reported injuries at this time.

It is undetermined at this time how many shots were fired.

The suspects name and charges will be released at the appropriate time.
