Man who Allegedly Robbed Woman in Newark Sought by Police

Police in Newark seeks the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who is wanted for a robbery that occurred on Friday, March 17, 2017.

According to Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, at approximately 12:45 p.m., a 25-year old female victim boarded a bus at Bergen and West Runyon Streets when a male suspect robbed her of a wallet then fled on foot.

Police described the suspect as a black male who was last seen wearing a black jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, and blue stone-washed jeans.

This investigation is ongoing.
