Man Wanted for Stealing a Bottle of Remy Martin from Liquor Store in Newark

Police in Newark requests the public’s assistance in identifying a man who they say is wanted for a theft that occurred on Wednesday, August 29th.

According to police, the victim reported that an unknown black male, who wore red shorts and a red shirt, entered his store in the 300 block of Washington Street at approximately 9:10 p.m.

According to police, the suspect asked for a bottle of Remy Martin and when the clerk turned his back, the male grabbed the liquor then ran from the store.

Detectives investigating the theft were able to capture a picture of the male from the store’s surveillance equipment.

While police are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him and removing him from Newark streets.
