Man Wanted for Questioning in Newark Shooting Investigation

Authorities in Newark seek the public’s assistance in locating Ruben Gonzalez, 18, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting that occurred on Friday, May 30.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated that at approximately 4:14 p.m., police responded to the 300 block of Summer Avenue on a call of a shooting.

Responding Officers learned that a man had arrived at University Hospital for treatment of gunshot injuries sustained at the Summer Avenue location, Newark officials said.

According to Newark officials, the victim was treated and is in stable condition.

Detectives investigating this incident are seeking Mr. Gonzalez for questioning regarding this incident, Newark officials stated.
