The victim, an Uber Eats worker, parked his 2021 four-door Outback silver Subaru to make a delivery in the 200 block of Broome Street, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. stated.

According to Newark officials, when he exited his vehicle, leaving a passenger in the backseat, a group of Black males brandishing a firearm approached him and demanded that he empty his pockets.

The men, wearing black sweats and ski masks, pulled the passenger from the victim’s car, taking his iPhone and wallet containing $300, Newark Police stated.
