Man Wanted for Newark Central Ward Robbery

Police officials in Newark request the public’s help with identifying a suspect who robbed a victim of his cellphone today. 

Police responded to a call about a robbery that occurred around 10:20 a.m. at Eagles Parkway and Lincoln Street.

Officials said when officers arrived, the victim told them that when he reached the intersection, the suspect got out of a white vehicle and walked over to him, pointing a metallic silver object.

The suspect, who was wearing a puffy black coat, gray sweat pants, and face tattoos, threatened the victim and demanded that he give up his cellphone.

The victim complied and the suspect got back in the vehicle, which drove south on Lincoln Street.
