Man Wanted by Monmouth County Authorities Arrested in Newark for Heroin Possession; Two Others Apprehended

Police arrested Nasir Farmer for possessing 2 guns and drugs worth more than three thousand dollars.

According to authorities, on June 21st, Police Officers from the 3rd Precinct were investigating citizen complaints about drug sales and other criminal activities at the John W. Hyatt and Terrell Holmes housing complexes.

While conducting their investigation, the officers witnessed Nasir Farmer, 20 sell heroin from his car to 32-year-old Newark resident, Williams Isaken. Officers arrested both men for possession of heroin authorities said.

Williams for three hundred and sixteen glassine envelopes and Isaken with two. Farmer also had a gun in his possession and 39 bags of crack cocaine.

Police said a third suspect, Sahid Martinez, 18 of Newark who was in the company of Farmer was arrested for possessing marijuana.

Officers confiscated Farmer's car and after applying for a search warrant, a second gun was recovered from inside of his car today.

Farmer is charged with possession of CDS, (heroin, cocaine and marijuana), Possession of CDS with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS within 1000 feet of a Public School, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and two counts of possession of a gun and possession of the gun for unlawful purposes.

Isaken is charged with possession of heroin and a warrant held by the Monmouth County Sheriff's Department authorities said.
