Man Wanted for Killing Irvington Father Captured in Pennsylvania

Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Robert D. Laurino and Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers announced today that an arrest has been made in connection with the December 4th, 2017 murder of Marco Angarmarca-Yupa, who was shot during a robbery in front of his home on Grove Street in Irvington.

Authorities said as a result of an investigation by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Homicide Task Force, they have charged Tashan Greene, 23, of Newark with murder, felony murder, robbery, conspiracy, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Police also charged Greene with hindering his apprehension, endangering the welfare of a child and receiving stolen property.

Green was arrested in Bethlehem, PA by detectives from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the Bethlehem Police Department and special agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, according to Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas S. Fennelly, of the Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit.

Greene is currently being held in the Northampton County Correctional Facility pending extradition to New Jersey.

The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are possible, according to Fennelly.
