Man Wanted for Allegedly Taking Woman’s Cell Phone from Store in Newark

Newark Police requests the public’s assistance in identifying a male wanted for a theft that occurred on Wednesday, August 22nd.

According to police, the victim reported that she left her cell phone on a counter in a store located on the 100 block of Bragaw Avenue.

Police say the clerk was going to hold the phone, but the man allegedly told the clerk that he knew who it belonged to and would return it; the victim never received the phone.

Detectives investigating the theft were able to identify the male as a suspect in this theft police said.
