Man Wanted for Alleged Knifepoint Robbery in Newark's North Ward

Police in Newark are on the search for a man wanted for a robbery in the city's North Ward in mid-December.

According to authorities, on Friday, December 15th a man was robbed at knifepoint in the 100-block of North 9th Street at around 2 a.m.

Authorities said detectives identified Mr. Tywan Trent as a suspect in this incident and secured a warrant for his arrest on charges of Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.

While police are actively searching for Trent, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from city streets.
