Man Wanted After Using Newark’s Robbery Victim's Stolen Credit Card; Accomplice Sought

Police in Newark seeks the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred yesterday.

According to authorities, at approximately 3 a.m., a man was robbed of his personal property in the area of Madison and Downing streets by two male suspects who approached the victim while riding bicycles.

Officials say the pictured suspect used the victim’s credit card at a McCarter Highway gas station at 4:15 a.m. and attempted to do so again at 6:45 a.m. at a Bloomfield Avenue bakery.

While detectives are actively searching for this suspect and his accomplice, they request the public’s assistance in quickly identifying them and removing them from the streets.
