Man Struck by Car on Route 21 in Passaic County

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman announce that at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday police responded to Route 21 North near mile marker 11.2 in response to a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle.

Police say the pedestrian, Emmanuel Perdomo, 27, of Paterson was walking on Route 21 North when he was struck by a 2005 Honda Civic being operated by a 57-year-old man from Passaic.

Mr. Perdomo was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center where he is receiving treatment for serious bodily injuries.

Mr. Munoz was also transported to St. Joseph’s and treated for minor injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in this collision, and Mr. Munoz remained on the scene and presented a valid license.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
