Detectives from the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office are investigating a double stabbing that resulted in homicides overnight in Jersey City.
Police responded to the 300 block of Randolph Avenue after receiving reports of suspicious activities at around 8:45 p.m. where officers located a man reportedly covered in blood at that location.
A search of an apartment had officers locate two female who were stabbed multiple times at that location.
Both women were pronounced dead by medical staff at Jersey City Medical Center a short time later reports.
Authorities would only say that the suspect is a relative of the deceased but sources said that the two women are mother and sister of the man.
The man was taken into custody at the scene.
Authorities said that the investigation is active and ongoing.
