Police in Jersey City took a man into custody and charged him with a violent aggravated assault stabbing late Monday night.
It happened around 10:15 p.m. at an address in the 300 block of Princeton Avenue.
Police responded to the address and found a man suffering multiple stab wounds.
During the investigation, police learned that the victim's emotionally distressed son became enraged after a verbal altercation and began to stab his dad.
The suspect was taken into custody at Bayonne Hospital by Jersey City Police.
Police say the victim is in stable condition.
