Police in Newark are looking into the motive behind an attack that left a man stabbed multiple times in a section of the city's Central Ward.
It happened around 1:50 a.m. in the vicinity of 16th Avenue and Holland Street.
Police said emergency responders were dispatched to the area, and when they arrived, EMS found the unidentified 29-year-old man suffering stab wounds in his arm and chest.
The victim was transported to University Hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.
Police have not released information on an arrest or suspects sought at this time.
