Police in Jersey City are investigating a violent armed robbery that left the victim seriously injured in a section of the city Friday.
The late-night encounter happened around 11:22 p.m. near 166 Clendenny Avenue.
Authorities believe that the suspect approached the victim with a sharp object and demanded personal possession.
During the robbery, the suspect began stabbing the victim multiple times.
Authorities say the victim was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and is expected to recover.
