Police requested EMS for a victim of a robbery turned assault this afternoon in Newark's North Ward.
According to police, the incident happened in the vicinity of 175 North 5th Street at approximately 12:30 p.m. where the victim reported to police that he was approached by a male suspect who demanded personal possessions.
During the robbery, police say the suspect produced mace and then spayed the victim.
The victim was not seriously injured and the suspect remains at-large.
