Man Rescued After Jumping into The Hudson River in Jersey City

A water rescue that occurred in the Hudson River had Jersey City emergency responders operating overnight.

Firefighters and rescue crews rushed to the single digit block of Exchange Place at around 11 p.m. after receiving reports from witnesses who said that they saw a person enter the river from one of the piers.

Upon crews arrival, they found a male victim in the water and quickly began to assist.

Emergency responders pulled the victim from the water within minutes suffering non-fatal injuries.

The NYPD Marine unit assisted in the rescue according to reports.

The incident remains under investigation.
