One person was pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting in Trenton Sunday night.
The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force is now leading the investigation into the deadly shooting in the 500 block of Lamberton Street near Federal Street.
It happened just after 7:00 p.m. when residents dialed 911 after hearing multiple gunshots.
Officers arrived and found a male victim suffering several gunshot wounds at that location.
EMS rushed the victim to Capital Health Trauma Center, where doctors pronounced him dead shortly.
The recent fatal shooting brings the total homicides in Trenton to 6 for 2023.
