Man Injured in Early Morning Two-Car Crash in Newark's West Ward

Newark Police are investigating a crash that injured a man in the city's upper West Ward Saturday morning. 

Firefighters were first on the scene of the collision that happened near the intersection of Grand and South Orange avenue just before 6:10 a.m. 

Police say rescue crews arrived and found an unconscious male victim ejected from his car after he slammed into another vehicle and parked vehicles at that location. 

The mane was transported to the hospital for treatment while police and firefighters stayed at the scene for the cleanup and investigation. 

Police are trying to determine if the injured man was under the influence during the crash. 

There were no other injuries reported.
