Authorities in Jersey City are investigating a serious incident where a man was trapped beneath a vehicle he was reportedly working on late Thursday night.
The emergency unfolded around 11:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Tonnelle Avenue, where police and firefighters responded to multiple 911 calls reporting that a person was pinned under a car.
Upon arrival, emergency responders located the man trapped beneath the vehicle.
Firefighters quickly initiated extrication efforts and successfully freed the unidentified victim from underneath the car.
He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
As of Friday morning, his condition has not been publicly released, and his identity remains undisclosed.
Officials believe the man may have been performing maintenance on the vehicle when the incident occurred, but the exact circumstances remain under investigation by Jersey City authorities.
