Police are investigating the stabbing of a man who was found gashed in the chest near a bar in Elizabeth Sunday morning.
Cops responding to a 911 call of an injured man outside the Bamboleo Bar and Grill located in the 200 block of Elizabeth Avenue discovered the victim around 1:22 a.m.
He was taken to University Hospital in Newark, suffering serious injuries.
Police requested additional assistance after a large crowd grew at the stabbing scene, but no arrests were reported.
No details on the motive for the attack or a possible suspect at this time.
