Offcials in Newark and East Orange are looking into the motive for a stabbing that seriously injured a male early Sunday morning.
According to a preliminary investigation, a Newark Police unit was flagged down near Roseville Avenue for a man found bleeding.
During the investigation, police found that the unidentified man suffering lacerations to his stomach and stab wounds in his back and arms.
Police say the victim told them that he was stabbed in the vicinity of 232 North Clinton.
The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and East Orange Police were notified of the incident.
