Police in Jersey City discovered a man with a stab wound in his back outside a Dunkin' Donuts establishment.

The event transpired around midnight on Tuesday in the 700 block of NJ-440.

Police swiftly responded to the scene, where they found the male victim in distress due to the stabbing.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) promptly arrived and transported the injured man to Jersey City Medical Center for urgent treatment. As of the latest updates, he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Law enforcement is actively searching for the suspect responsible for the attack.

The assailant reportedly fled the scene in a red vehicle, adding a layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation.
