EMS transported a male victim reportedly found hanging in a jail cell in Wayne to Paterson's St. Josephs hospital in serious condition.
Medical crews arrived at the Passaic County Sheriff's Department lockup located in the 400 block of Hamburg Turnpike shortly before 3 a.m. where the victim was found unconscious and unresponsive according to reports.
The victim was reportedly detained in the holding cell after being brought in earlier Wednesday for alleged narcotics and possessing a firearm charge according to reports.
Circumstances behind the incident is unknown at this time.
