Investigators from Hudson County Prosecutor's Office are investigating a stabbing that left a man dead inside a home in the Heights section of Jersey City overnight.
The incident happened inside a two and a half story building located at 197 Palisades where police were called to the scene after receiving reports of an injured person shortly before 7 p.m.
Upon officer's arrival, they found a male victim suffering multiple stab wounds at that location.
EMS rushed the man to Jersey City Medical Center where authorities confirmed his death a short time later.
Police detained at least one person at the scene, but authorities would not immediately confirm if the man the suspects responsible for the crime.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
