Investigators from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office are inside the Weequahic Park at this time where the body of a male has been located.
A spokesperson for the prosecutor's office confirmed that a man who appears to be around the age of 50 was found inside the park near the Murphy Monument at around 12:30 p.m., but had very little other information on the incident.
"This is an active investigation", the spokesperson said.
