Police are actively investigating an incident where the body of a man was found inside a limousine at a location in Newark's East Ward.
According to preliminary reports, suspicious activities phoned into the police had units in the teen block of Lister Avenue where officers found the unconscious and unresponsive man inside the vehicle that was sandwiched in between several trucks and a bus in the parking lot at around 12:10 p.m.
Police taped off a portion of the parking lot where they then contacted the Medical examiner who were seen removing the body of the unidentified man.
Authorities are investigating if the man died from a possible overdose while inside the limousine but detectives from the Major Crimes Task Force were called to the location for the crime scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
