The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office has taken over the investigation into a shooting that killed a man in Trenton on Monday afternoon.
According to police, at approximately 1:20 p.m., police say they found an unidentified, unconscious and unresponsive victim suffering bullet wounds in the single-digit block of South Broad Street.
Police say the victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
