Newark Police are investigating a luring incident that reportedly occurred in a Newark Central Ward community on Wednesday afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, a teenaged girl was walking in the vicinity of Springfield Avenue and Prince Street -shortly before 2 p.m.- when a black male occupying a black vehicle pulled up to her and exposed his penis then tried to get the teenaged girl to enter the car.
The girl denied the suspect's request, then contacted police who arrived at the scene to find her visibly shaken and upset according to reports.
There were no physical injuries reported or weapons shown.
The incident remains under investigation.
