A man is in critical condition after he was stabbed eight times Friday at the Elizabeth train station.
According to authorities, police responded to the Elizabeth train station, located on Broad Street, sometime around 11 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, police found an adult male who had been stabbed eight times near the elevator according to authorities.
Officials say the victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark, where he is listed in critical but stable conditions.
The motive for the stabbing is under investigation by the NJ Transit Police.
