Man Charged With Taking Videos, Pictures of Woman in Mall Dressing Room

On October 25th, 2022, Wayne Police Officers Matt Bernardo and Kim Fryer were dispatched to Willowbrook Mall for a reported invasion of privacy.

According to Wayne Police, a female victim reported that while in a changing room of an H&M store, she observed a cell phone being held under the privacy curtain while taking photographs of her.

Authorities say the victim screamed, and the suspect ran away.

The victim’s friend gave chase and was able to obtain a description of the suspect, but he escaped.

Officers reviewed the surveillance video provided by Willowbrook Security.

According to Police, the suspect was observed running from the mall, entering a black SUV, and fleeing the mall property.

After a lengthy, determined investigation, Detective Georgia was able to identify the suspect.

He was interviewed at Wayne Police Headquarters and was subsequently taken into custody.

Arrested was Christian E. Tellobazan, age 40, of Bloomingdale.

He was charged with third-degree Invasion of Privacy. Mr. Tellobazan was released on a summons in accordance with bail reform guidelines.
