Police arrested Bloomfield man and charged him with theft after he reportedly stole a package from a porch in the Township on July 9th.
Police said officers responded to Berkeley Avenue on a report of theft.
According to police, units arrived and were told by a resident that he observed a Hispanic male carrying a baseball bat remove packages from his porch.
After a brief search of the area, officers located the suspect, Mr. Eddie Valentine, 40, of Bloomfield, who the resident positively identified as the person who took the packages.
The total value of items inside the packages were valued at $300.00.
Valentine was charged and processed accordingly.
