A 27-year-old man was taken into custody following a DWI crash that occurred on Route 31.
According to police, on Feb. 18, Thomas Volkmann, Jr., 27, of Frenchtown, while driving a 2004 Nissan Titan, rear-ended a 2014 Infiniti QX60 driven by a 49-year-old Clinton Twp. resident on Route 31 at approximately 4:55 p.m.
Investigating officers ultimately took Volkmann into custody after they reportedly smelled alcohol emanating from his breath.
Also, Volkmann has issued a motor-vehicle summons for careless driving.
