Authorities in Hudson County announced that on Monday, July 28, 2025, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit arrested an individual in connection with the death of a male on Neptune Avenue.
Scott Bradley, 35, of Jersey City, is charged with one count of Murder, according to Hudson County officials.
Hudson County officials stated that he was arrested in the area of Randolph and Claremont Avenues and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.
Hudson County officials say that on Friday, July 25, shortly after 9 a.m., the Jersey City Police Department was notified of an injured person in the area of Neptune and Garfield Avenues.
Responding officers located an unresponsive male, later identified as Joey Richburg, 56, of Jersey City, HCPO authorities said.
HCPO officials said he was transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 9:42 a.m.
The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined the Cause of Death to be Blunt Force Injury to the Head and the Manner of Death to be Homicide, according to Hudsin County officials.
