Man Arrested After Illegally Dumping on Newark Road

Police announced the arrest of Mr. German F. Romerosimbana, 66, of Newark, for an incident of illegal dumping that occurred today.

According to authorities, shortly before 6 a.m., an officer observed a male in the area of Riverside Avenue near McCarter Highway removing materials from the trunk of a blue Pontiac GP and placing the items onto the side of the road.

Members of the Illegal Dumping Task Force responded and the man, German F. Romerosimbana, was arrested and charged with illegal dumping and illegal transport of solid waste.

The vehicle used to transport the dumped materials is subject to seizure by forfeiture.

These charges are merely accusations.

The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
