Man Accused of Dumping Car Parts in Newark

Newark Police reports the arrest of 29-year-old Ronney Carrasco-Nin, of Newark, for an incident of illegal dumping today.

According to a statement released by Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the Illegal Dumping Task Force observed the suspect pull his Honda Civic to the curb in the 200 block of Oraton Street and dump car parts, containers, and other miscellaneous auto parts and debris onto the street.

Police approached then arrested Carrasco-Nin and charged with illegal dumping and illegal transport of solid waste.

Authoritities say his car was subsequently towed and could be forfeited.

According to Director Ambrose, The Illegal Dumping Task Force has made 25 arrests thus far this year.

These charges are merely accusations.

Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
