A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Santos Martinez, 39, of Newark, for an aggravated assault that occurred on Feb. 15th.
According to police, at approximately 10 a.m., police responded to a North Ward residence on a call of an aggravated assault.
Upon arrival, officers learned a woman was assaulted by a man she knows following a quarrel.
The man fled the residence before police arrived.
Detectives investigating this incident secured a warrant for the arrest of Santos Martinez on a charge of Aggravated Assault.
Police describe Martinez as a male approximately 5’6” tall, 190 lbs. and has a light complexion, brown eyes and black hair.
While police are actively searching for Martinez, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from our streets.
